So, when I tell you I am completely out of my element on this one. I’m not lying. I don’t know anything about sprinklers unless it has Mickey Mouse on it and is for ages 5 and under. Let me tell you though my oldest son and I thought we’d surprise my hubby with this one since he had nothing to do with choosing this idea. He has been complaining about how a bigger yard is more maintenance and that he needed a new sprinkler since yet another sprinkler broke on us last year. We needed an un-installed sprinkler. So, off to google I went. I stumbled upon National Walking Sprinkler and thought this had to be the coolest sprinkler ever.
We set it up which was extremely easy to do and turned on the water. Whoa! We didn’t know just how awesome this sprinkler was. We ended up watering the roof 2 stories up! It has those capabilities to it! Since we didn’t want to mess with it, we left it for Dad.

When Dad came home he was so impressed with this sprinkler. He quickly customized it and actually set it up correctly. He spoke another language all the time and eventually got frustrated that I couldn’t understand his “talk” and called his father. he went on and on about this awesome sprinkler. I heard him say that the weight of it (and this thing is heavy) allows you to use any water pressure you want and the sprinkler can support it. How by laying down hose the circles the house you could actually set it up on one side and it would use the hose as a track to get around. This diagram shows exactly how it works. For full details click HERE.

For the guys, here’s a quick response from my husband:
Its very well built, heavy duty. The grease fittings allow a much longer life since you can lubricate it as needed. It also has two separate speeds. Since it covers up to 200 feet of hose it cover a large area without having to reset it often.

They also have a blog. Click HERE to check it out. They have great testimonials there from people who have owned their sprinkler for YEARS. I’m not talking 5 years or 10 years either….I’m talking like 40 years! Talk about an investment!

Now, Don’t you think this would make an awesome gift for Dad this Father’s Day? Help him water the grass without the hassle!
