Who are you?I am a thirty-something year old mother of one. We live in Portland, Oregon. By day, I work as an Architect and commute to work by bike year-round, rain or shine. Sometimes I think my daily ride is the only thing that keeps me sane! On the domestic side, in addition to sewing, I knit and crochet, and like to garden. I’ve been known to weed my neighbor’s yard, when I run out weeds in my own.

How did you come up with your Etsy store name?Deciding on a name for my Etsy shop was an extremely painful process! I was looking for something that was light-hearted and carefree and simple, that reflected the style of my work. All of my top choices were taken, and after some quality time with the thesaurus, I finally landed on frolic. I still have my doubts at times, but it’s growing on me.
BlueDot Coasters
How long have you been designing bags?I made my first market totes about three years ago with my sister for personal use. I got so many compliments on them at the grocery store, and people asking if I sold them, that I decided to give it a try. The pattern has been refined over time and adapted to make smaller lunch totes and zipper pouches. I have drawings of several more bag ideas in my sketchbook, and I can’t wait to translate them into fabric.
Favorite item in my shop?
I think I’d have to say the Pinwheel Quilt. I love the bright colors, and it’s undeniably fun.

Anywhere other than Etsy we can find you?Currently my only online presence is Etsy. I’ve thought about starting a blog and getting involved with twitter, but to be honest, I’m nervous about becoming too married to my computer and technology in general. I don’t even have a cell phone! Locally, I’ll participate in craft shows on occasion.
Two Peas in a Pod
We got to test out her Two Peas in a Pod! I think these are absolutely adorable and would make the perfect addition the a baby shower gift. I especially like this because Gavin loves playing with balls but these soft, lightweight balls aren’t going to break a window or dent a wall so as long as he’s not aiming to knock something over these are A/O/K balls for the boys to practice playing catch in the living room with! I will admit they don’t spend much time in their pod, but they aren’t supposed too, right 😉

I agree, Jennifer- Land O’ Lakes eggs are simply the best. Although I have farm eggs available nost of the year, I also use Land O’ Lakes eggs.
