Baking Tip to Prevent Sinking Fruit or Chips

I’ve been doing a bunch of baking lately since I have 23 POUNDS of blueberries that we’ve picked this month. We picked 13 lbs the first time and just went back for 10 more. I’m hoping to get 5 more next week as the season closes out. I wanted to share a little baking tip for fruit so it won’t sink to the bottom of what you’re baking.

Baking Tip: Add a little of your dry mix to your fruit to keep them from sinking to the bottom during the baking process. This will work for berries, chocolate chips, and other small items that you often put in things like bread and muffins.

  8. That is a bunch of blueberries. We skipped blueberries this year and ended up with a ton of strawberries from picking and store bought. I need a 2nd freezer because of all the frozen fruits I have lol.

I have 24 quarts of strawberries frozen too LOL! I couldn’t do it without the freezer in the basement though!

      • We have a deep freezer but its the chest kind. I need another because I have so much stuff shoved in there and I try to go grocery shopping once a month for big stuff and bulk stuff but I know I end up going through more food because I try to make room for stuff so I am looking into getting a 2nd one of some kind.
