If you’ve never heard of it, it started over on An Island Life.
I ask a question….I answer it….and then you answer it too!
Sound like fun?

So, for this week’s question:
So, for this week’s question:
I wear mine like you do. I was told that was the proper way since it put the “till death part of the ring” closer to your heart or something like that. I’ve never seen it the other way. On the other hand, I have a anniversary band similar to your wedding band, that I wear @ the top of my wedding set.
Aloha!
Same as you – the proper way. With the wedding band closer to your heart.
Put on some lotion!
I have a skin disorder which makes my hands this way.
I wear mine just like you do…band first diamond next. Mine are actually quite similar to yours too. ;D
I wear my wedding band on the inside, too – I heard somewhere that it’s ‘customary’ to wear the wedding ring first, because it’s closer to your heart. 🙂
Aloha: Super Bowl Plans
Yes, Stacy is right! I was a manager at a large jewelry store and you’re supposed to wear your wedding band closest to your heart. I wear mine closest to my heart, but have nothing against those that don’t. 🙂
I wear my wedding band closest to my heart. To wear it the other way means that you are divorced.
I wear my band the same way. I think thats the “technical” way you are supposed to. The idea of the circle going on forever like your love will, you want it close to your heart…does that make sense, but yes my band is behind my engagement ring or however you explain it!
I wear mine the same way although I had never heard anything about it being closest to the heart. I do remember that my mother-in-law had a fit because I had it the other way right after the wedding ceremony. I just hadn’t gotten around to switching it but she insisted I do it right then and there.
I wear mine closest to my heart like the rest of you.
I wear mine the same way. Tho at the moment I’m not wearing my rings. My engagement ring’s stone popped out and fell into the washing machine and down a little hole. 🙁 And my wedding band keeps falling off my finger in this cold weather so I took it off; don’t want to lose that too!

Wow I never really thought about it, but I have my engagement ring closer to the hand. More of a decision made by the thickness of each ring, it just looks / fits better that way. They are also fused together as one ring.
I wear mine like you do also, band closest to the hand and the engagement part on top. I am a new follower from Twitter, please stop by our website and follow if you like it!
Mine are fused together but I wear the band to the back of my hand. I think that’s how you’re supposed to?
Hi Jennifer,
Yes, I wear my rings…they need to be cleaned badly:) I wear them the same way.
I saw all the talk about the bounce house last night and I just wanted to let you know that I agree with you. I see no harm in what they are doing. Plus, each time I see you in your Snug As A Bug PJ’s I smile. We had that pattern last year.
I only have one wedding ring and it’s on the finger 🙂
So I didn’t know there was supposed to be two.
Aloha!
I wear mine like yours.
I have a wedding set that I designed, and I wear the engagement ring first and then the band only because of its shape you wouldn’t be able to see what I’ve done to the wedding band the other way around. Have a great weekend.
I just looked… Pat hand my rings seared together. I hate it but I can
t argue and he is totally right… he had them seared together so I wouldn’t mess with them, and if they weren’t then yes I would constantly be playing with them lol.
So my rings are together and overlap each other but the wedding band part of the rings face me while the small part of the engagement ring faces outwards.
I also wear my band under my engagement ring. Of course, there are times in the summer that I only wear my band.
Same as you, but didn’t know why until reading this and the other responses. 🙂
You are wearing them correctly. The wedding band is placed closest to your heart always after the ceremony. I really need to wear mine again. I just haven’t worn them for some time now.
I wear mine like you also. I’ve never heard of it the other way, but I guess to each is own!
I just wear my band and not the engagement because of my line of work I’ve already bent the prong twice on it, and to think they told my hubby that platinum would be durable.
I’m not married, but didn’t know that was the correct way until reading this…you learn something new every day 🙂
I wore mine the same way. Some say the band should be closest to the heart so thats how I wore mine. Now I have a 3rd piece so I have a band on both sides
I also wear my wedding band below my engagement ring. My rings are soldered together as one ring but you can tell which is which.
I was told that the ring finger on the left hand has a bloodline directly to your heart or something like that and that’s why wedding rings are worn on that finger. Plus the wedding band should be closer to your heart.
I can’t remember the exact wording and stuff, but you get the idea.
Right now I’m not wearing my wedding ring. Accck, I know! I’m not sure what happened, but one day it started cutting into the side of my finger causing it to hurt. I put it up and haven’t thought to put it back on.
Mine is linked together. So it is moe like one ring.
