Who are you?

My name is Stephanie. I’m a 23 year old graphic designer and the creator of Pretty {much} Art. I am currently residing in the small town of Spencer, Wisconsin.

How long have you been selling on Etsy?
Since September, 2008

First Spring Foliage Print

What made you decide to open up shop?
I graduated from college in the spring of 2008. In the months that followed I had a lot of free time on my hands while looking for a graphic design job. I used that time creating digital artwork for my family and friends. I made some prints for my parent’s re-modeled bedroom and they came up with the idea that I should sell my work.

How did you decide on your shop name?
Nobody seemed to know what my art was, and I had a hard time explaining it. My explanation went something like this “It’s digital, but it also incorporates hand-drawn illustration. It’s reminiscent of screen-printing. It’s modern. It’s graphic design. It’s pretty. It’s art…pretty much.”

What is your favorite item in your shop and why?
Probably my “First Spring Foliage Print”. I like its simplicity. Its simplicity makes it classic. Like you could hang it in your house for years without worrying about it going out of style…I also think it’s pretty.
