Who are you?I’m Bethany and a recent graduate of the University of Edinburgh. As of September, I will be a student again, this time studying an MLitt in Creative Writing at Glasgow University.
How long have you been selling on Etsy?
I’ve been selling since the end of Feb 2009 – I remember this because I was kicking myself that I had missed out on selling for the Valentine’s holiday!
Shine Like The Star You Are On Your Special Day
What made you decide to open up shop?I got bored of the generic mass production cards. I could never find anything special or personal enough for my friends and family so I started to make my own cards. After I’d been on Etsy several months as a buyer I thought to myself, “Hey, I’m going to give this a shot!”
How did you decide on your shop name?
Creative Cards is plain and simple and you know exactly what you’re in for when you come to shop with me

What is your favorite item in your shop and why?My favourite item at the moment is my Time for Tea fan – it’s elegant, quaint and very cute. It’s reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland, which always has a soft spot in my heart.

What are some of your favorite stores from other sellers on Etsy?I have so many! There are so many really incredible sellers out there. At the moment I’d highly recommend airportlovestory. She’s made some really adorable custom earrings for me and she’s lovely to do business with. And of course there’s everyone’s favourite HeathensHearth. I bought an incredible cherry lip balm and strawberry cream sugar scrub – I smell delicious!
