Since I am doing a big birthday bash this week, I didn’t plan a Featured Friday.Then I thought how can I not feature handcrafted items from Etsy?
I love sponsoring handmade items. Being a shop owner myself I understand the small business struggles many Etsians go through. So I thought for my birthday I would bring you something that would make great birthday gifts! Not only would these make great birthday gifts, these items are stunning enough to be bridesmaids gifts, anniversary gifts, Christmas gifts, any occasion gifts really!

Who are you?We are a company of two-a couple, who works out of our home on the North Shore of Oahu. We make handmade jewelry pieces in all kinds of silver and gold. We work mostly with the best materials we can find which include gemstones, rough diamonds, and even shells we collect from the beaches around us! We love what we do and are pleased that our Etsy shop is taking off right now.
How long have you been selling on Etsy?We’ve been on Etsy since July 20, 2008, and we also set up every weekend at the North Shore Country Market which is held at the local elementary school. We’ve been in a few boutiques as well, but we love the Etsy website and put most of our efforts into our shop.

How did you come up with your Business Name?Our name came to David one night as we were sitting around brainstorming. We wanted something having to do with the ocean since we are based out of Hawaii and also because we launched Sea Babe with our shell jewelry line which is really popular with the locals over here. Since then, the name just fit perfectly and many people tell us they enjoy the name.

Where else online can we find you? You can find us at the North Shore Country Market every Saturday from 8-2 if you are ever vacationing in Hawaii. Everyone should make a trip out here. There are so many fun outdoor activities to participate in and we would love for people to come visit us. We’ve had a few people tell us that they saw us on Etsy before meeting us at the market, and that just goes to show how huge Etsy is getting! yeah! Other than the market, we are on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter.

I received this stunning ring below from Sea Babe Jewelry and it is exactly that! I love how the sun hits it! It sparkles just like my diamonds! It smooth to wear even though it is hand forged. And I love that I don’t have to worry about taking it off (even in water) because it is pure silver! Plus, its their famous Twenty Dollar Ring….how can you go wrong with that? If their Twenty Dollar ring is this stunning…I can only imaging how beautiful the rest of their jewelry is!Plus, I loved the way the ring arrived to me. It came gifted in a box. Inside the box it was in an organza bag with a see shell from Hawaii! Talk about thee perfect touch!
