One of the things that surprised me the most about motherhood was just how important my friends and their children became to me. I see them once or twice a week. Collectively, we’ve got a big pile of kids…. this picture doesn’t have any of the babies (there are 4 of them). We’ve all agreed that we’ve got something special between us. And what is even more magical is that there is something between our kids. We hope that they’ll always have each other.
So, when Dreft reached out and asked if I’d like to host a party to celebrate #Amazinghood – the big messy beautiful journey of motherhood, the answer was a quick yes. This post has been brought to you by them today.
Celebrating with Dreft #Amazinghood
I had so much fun prepping for this party! I kept it simple by asking each guest to bring a snack to share and we had tacos. I love easy meals…. especially the kind with the quick clean up. My friend Laura brought those amazing meatballs you see in the corner. They were spicy, I meant to ask her for the recipe.
In addition to food prep, I had goodie bags to prep. Each guest received a goodie bag with Dreft products.
Everyone got to take home the following:
- Dreft Newborn Detergent: gentle and hypoallergenic on baby’s sensitive skin.
- Dreft Blissfuls Scent Booster: scent-beads are safe on all fabrics and can release freshness for up to two weeks.
- Sample sizes of Dreft Newborn and Dreft Blissfuls
The conversations we had around the dinner table were so sweet. Each of us are still in the early years of motherhood, none of us have a teenager yet. My friend Tiffany has a 9-month-old, a 4-year-old, a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old. and my friend Jen is going to have her second child this summer. We spent a lot talking about the transition from one child to two and sharing our second childbirth stories (spoiler alert…. they come a lot quicker).
The conversation took a turn to the messy side when we started to share the ways our kids like to cause mischief. Tiffany’s girls love to combine the sandbox and the water table to make a mud bin. My two-year-old Lola just recently discovered the baby powder in the bathroom. Laura’s son Jude (one) loves to fully experience food, especially in his hair.
Everyone at the table agreed that having Dreft detergent at home was a no brainer. It makes life easier… knowing that no matter what beautiful mess our children make, Dreft is there to take the guesswork out of laundry. Dreft products are specially formulated to be gentle on skin, tough on stains, and with a fresh baby scent. Just about everyone I invited to the party has both a baby and a big kid. We all love that Dreft is made for babies, but tough enough to work for our whole family’s laundry.

What a beautiful post! I have 5 month old and am definitely enjoying the messiness of motherhood!
I’ve never tried any Dreft products before, but they sound great!
Love Dreft. My son has eczema and we’ve been using Dreft on all his clothes and beddings since he was born until now
