It’s been a long time since I got excited about a movie. Yet, when I heard that they came out with a new Monsters Inc movie I was immediately interested as that was one of my all time favorite Disney movies. When it hit the theaters we were there! We never make it to any of the movies before they come out but my entire family was really excited about this one.
In the past we’ve enjoyed when they make sequels to movies but hands down Monsters University is the best one they’ve made. It’s not really a sequel as it’s actually the “before” and not the after. It goes way back to when mike & Sulley were college kids trying to make the “Scare” program. Mike spent his whole life learning and absorbing everything about the talent of scaring while Sulley is a born ‘Sullivan’ with more natural talent then others can even dream of. Sulley is pretty sure that he can get by with his name and Mike thinks he has all the answers- until their competitive behavior gets them in trouble and kicked out of the program.
However, with the help of the Oozma Kappa Fraternity they are given the chance to earn their spot back into the program! What they don’t realize is that they need to find a way to work together to be the best they can be. Can Mike and Sulley do what it takes to earn their spot back into the Elite Scare Program at Monsters University or are they doomed to never walk the Scare Floor at Monsters Incorporated.

We’ll definitely be adding this to our DVD collection. We missed it in theaters, but I know we’ll enjoy it just as much at home.

This looks like such a cute movie. My little guy is not into watching many movies, but I’m sure he will love this when he gets a little older.
We are really looking forward to seeing this as a family. Even though we will be going to the theater to see it we still plan on buying the DVD as well. As I’m sure that seeing it once wont be enough.

I love this movie series. It has kid humor and subtle adult humor. Sometimes I feel like pulling my hair out after watching some of those tv shows and movies they have out right now- it’s awful. This is a family friendly movie- fun for all!
