It was almost a year ago today that I felt the world fall down around me. It was the voice of my fertility specialist telling me after almost four years of treatments that our family was complete and wouldn’t be expanding because there was nothing more they could do for us. The feeling was crushing to me but in all honesty I had seen it coming. The treatments had become so intensive that I had been in the office 5 out of 7 days a week. I was even there on holidays.
A part of me was relieved though. I could finally tuck this chapter of my life behind me and move forward. The hubby and I bean to talk about the future and plan and wouldn’t you know just two months later we saw this:
It took me months to grasp that I was pregnant as it came at quite the shock. Years of temping, injections, ultrasounds, and more! The pregnancy felt like the fastest one yet and before you know it our sweetest miracle was here.
Our family is now officially complete and we are so blessed for our final addition. He was definitely a surprise but the sweetest surprise I could have ever asked for.
