Making Better Blog Videos! Help!

For years I’ve been saying it but in 2012 I’m going to make it happen. I’m going to learn how to make better videos! I want to find a  program that is free and I know with all the photo editing programs out there there has to be one out there that is easy to use and free of charge.

I need your help to let me know a good program. I’ve seen other bloggers come out with some great videos and I know that they weren’t using some challenging program. Sometimes they were just flashing photos so they could have been using something as simple as a digital picture editor. I want something though that lets me show a title and then break my video into sections. maybe show an image in between etc.

Problem?

I don’t even know where to begin.

I have been meaning to research this issue as I have done quite a few video reviews over the time frame of this blog and last year I did more then ever. There’s nothing like doing a full out video and 5 minutes in the door bell rings and now you have to begin all over again. It never fails. Then you’re back to square one and sometimes that really isn’t as easy as it sounds.

So what do you use to make your videos? Do you use a basic movie editor program or are you using some fancy expensive program. I have to be missing something. I am figuring that this is something I have just continued to over think (like so many things) and am just over looking the simplicity of it. I’d love any tips or pointers if you have them too!

  1. I prefer windows movie maker because its free and simple to use. It came with my computer and probably comes with most computers now days. I like that with windows movie maker you can add pictures from your digital camera or computer as well as audio or music. You can even add special effects and titles to your movies/videos and even credits. There is a drag and drop option so can choose to stop the video where you want to or start it when you want to (tweak it). It works like a high dollar software program should, but for free. There should be some free downloads for it, if it’s not already on your computer, as it has been out for quite some time. I highly recommend it, it’s what I use for all my movie/video making needs. I hope you try it sometime it really is a lot of fun and simple to use. Have a great day!

The only time I’ve ever made videos was also with Windows Movie Maker. I was pleased with the result.

If I remember correctly, it could also do the things you want.

  3. Did you find a good program to use?? I’m looking for a video editing program for the same reason! I’ve tried the Windows Movie Maker but didn’t really like it or understand it!
