Random Tuesday Thoughts – CuhRazy!

Lately I have been flying high on the luck bus. I don’t know what Genie Lamp I rubbed but things are just going my way…which isn’t usually my luck!

Yesterday I had Energizer call me and tell me that they opened up one more $2000 Blogher Sponsorship spot to include me as one of their ChargHer girls! I about died. My kids looked at me like I went insane after getting off the phone and doing some crazy dance while yelling on my front porch for the neighbors to see. I don’t get cell reception in my house and I couldn’t wait to go back in so I just did it there. Johnny was rather embarrassed.

This morning I got an email to do a review and giveaway for an item I thought I’d never get that I’m going to really need someday! I’m not letting the cat out of the bag for that one just yet though 😉

Then I get an email telling me to check my twitter account because I won the Dress Barn $100 contest! Whoo Hoo! I don’t play the lottery but I may just have to buy a ticket on the way home!

Speaking of BlogHer, will you be there? I can’t believe I’ll be getting ready to go to NYC this time next week. If you’re going make sure to find me! I’ll have an awesome swag bag featuring Carolina Pad, Full BusyBodyBook Organizers, Paris Hiltons new scent, snacks & more! Plus they’ll be in a reusable tote bag you can grab for swag you get!

Over the weekend the Husband & I decided to go through the “fire shed”. What’s the fire shed? Well our family had a fire and we lost everything we owned to a fire. After the insurance adjusters and inventory people went through things we were allowed in before everything got taken away. I was a complete emotional wreck and anything that wasn’t charred or melted I could get my hands on went into that shed. This weekend I finally accepted the fact that just because it wasn’t deformed didn’t mean it wasn’t ruined and threw it all away. Without crying.
It felt good to finally let the last part of this tragedy in my life go.

On a positive note I didn’t realize at the time that I pulled melted frames and photos in there. Since some of the photos were in smoke damage rooms only properly stored in a closet they were salvage able. Maybe not frame perfect but to finally have a photo of my Johnny under the age of 4 brings me such happiness! It paid to take all the extra steps of taking care of all my photographs! Although the fire never reached that room the smoke and heat reached every room to the point where the fire actually pulled the nails out of the Sheetrock holding the walls up since they were “cold”.

Check out the pictures that totally cracked me up of myself!

These are photos I thought I’d never see again. I love being able to look back and remember my body alone before kids HAHA! Not to mention all the cute pics of Hubby & I together as teenagers!
