I Know, I know and I’m Sorry!

I know I haven’t been around as much the past couple of weeks and I’ve been slacking. I thought today I’d share with you why.

July is a crazy month around here. Hubby has his vacation, the boys are home, we go away, Gavin’s birthday, boating, and more!

We started our month by staining the deck that goes off our bedroom. We had been putting it off for too long and finally decided it was time. Now we still have to do the playground.

Of course we saw lots and lots of fireworks. These ones were actually from our hotel balcony in Hampton Beach, NH.

My best friend got MARRIED! It was an awesome wedding. It was outdoors in a state park next to the river. Dress was casual so hubs loved not having to wear a suit.

Then we took off to Hampton Beach, NH. It’s real style New England Boardwalk that faces the ocean.

Of course it also has lots of arcades that the boys had a field day in.

We even took a ride on this goofy bike.

Since we’ve been back we spend every spare minute out on the river on our boat.

And as you know Gavin just turned FIVE. Saturday was his party and I swear I spent the entire week preparing for it. I made these great cupcakes!

And the cake. If you follow me on facebook you know this cake had me so nervous. I finished it at 5 AM and was pretty proud of myself.

I also made these, recipe coming soon!

We made a Plankton Pinata!

Seriously, my kids birthday parties would not be the same if it wasn’t for my best friend. She has no kids but steps up every birthday. She was here until midnight the night before and back at 9am the following day to hlp me finish things up. I see LOTS of IOU’s in my future.

After hours of making him. Only a few hits of a bat and he looked like this.

Stay tuned because I have some great giveaways coming including the capri’s below that I have basically been living in.

So that is my explanation for why this blog has slowed down to a screeching halt this month. However, I have lots of fun tutorials (like how to make plankton), recipes, and giveaways coming your way.

Oh…and I have a balcony off my bedroom, too. It was one of the things that really stood out to me about this place.

I hear you! I’ve been working 30-40 hours the last couple weeks. Then both boys have had baseball 4 nights a week. Working every other weekend, etc has left blogging to the wayside and I can see the drop in my numbers big time. Not sure what else to do because I need to get my big hours in the summer when we’re busy because the winter they drop so badly!!

LOVIN’ your cake decorating! You’re doing so awesome and how wonderful to have a BFF who helps out!
