So, for this week’s question:
Q: What is the longest you’ve been without power?
What did you do in that time?
A: As you know I just recently lost power for almost 2 days. Now, losing electricity is so much more then that. When you lose it for an hour or two you don’t realize the exact effects. We get our water off a well so we also lose all our water when the power goes out. Not just no hot water. All water. No flushing toilets, no taking showers, no fridge, stove, etc.
Then to top it off we had no heat! So we just watched the thermostat fall.
What made this outage harder then normal was we ALL had no power. My entire town and many in surrounding towns. Both my parents, hubby’s parents, etc. We couldn’t go anywhere and get cozy either,
If you don’t own a generator what do you do? We were okay in the day but when night fell it got rough. I only had 2 candles and 1 flashlight. We aren’t big on open flames since our fire.
