Our Annual Family Vacation to Lake George, New York #Roadtrip

I hope you guys all had a great week last week celebrating the 4th of July. My boys just had their last day of school on June 28th and we left Sunday for our first road trip vacation. The Hubby gets the week of the 4th off every year and every year we go away with his parents to celebrate. This year we went back to Lake George, NY. It's only about 2 hours to get there for us by car. I was … [Read more...]

Strawberry Picking in North Hadley, Massachusetts

Last weekend my boys and my Dad headed out to North Hadley to where I go and pick strawberries every year. They are fairly well priced ($2.50 a quart or $20 a box) and if you bring a good army to pick you can get lots in a relatively short time. The field is pretty good sized and while this photo is deceiving there was a pretty good sized crowd there picking with us. Since I had to … [Read more...]

Sawyer’s 1st Birthday Party {Mickey Mouse Themed} #PartyCity

I can't believe I still haven't shared Sawyer's Birthday!!! Where has the time gone? I was so excited to put together this fun Mickey Mouse 1st Birthday party thanks to Party City. I had a really hard time picking a birthday theme and spent a lot of time on some birthday sites and often found myself on Party City because they had all the themes I was considering in one place. Not only that but … [Read more...]

{Wordless Wednesday} Baby Bunny

Last week I was so excited because all my plants and seeds were growing great! Then the other day I went into my garage and found all plants like this and was so upset. We figured a chipmunk was in the garage again. We leave all the doors open a lot so it's happened before and it's such a hassle to clean up from. Not so much. It was this adorable baby bunny rabbit. Isn't (s)he … [Read more...]

{Wordless Wednesday} 18 Miles

On Mother's Day I wanted to go for a long bike ride. Hubby wasn't feeling it and neither was Gavin so Johnny and I took off to do our entire bike trail. However, Johnny managed to talk me into taking the new detour. They've been attaching all the trails recently and now most of the trails connect to other ones. We ended up going through 4 towns and a total of 18 miles! (this is the RuKeeper … [Read more...]

The Manhan Bike Trails

I love that we live close to the bike trail. They finished it at the end of last summer and this year we are really putting it to good use! I've been learning how to run on it every night and this weekend we dusted off all the bikes and hit our Manhan Bike Trails. Sawyer was not thrilled with his helmet but it's a must. Isn't he the cutest little thing? I love that all the … [Read more...]

The Hilton Mystic is a Great Family Friendly Hotel in Connecticut

Last week my boys had the week off of school for spring vacation. We wanted to do something fun and away from home but we didn't want to go to far from home. We have visited Mystic, CT in the past and knew it was a great place to bring the kids. It's 2 hours away and we wanted to make the most of our time there so we decided to spend the night at the Hilton Mystic. Discover a … [Read more...]

Six Flags New England

I was super bummed out because I had to cancel a trip to NYC for an event over the weekend last minute due to lack of childcare. Being home for the weekend opened up other possibilities for us though. It was the last weekend Six Flags New England was running their season pass specials and I wanted to take full advantage. We haven't been since Johnny was Gavin's age and I wanted to go back but … [Read more...]

Car Seat Safety- Do you say something?

We joke about it all the time on Facebook. Those darn car seat nazi's. We as mom's get defensive of our children and so when someone says something to insult our ability we take it personally and we go into fight or flight. Some delete the picture and then never post car seat pics again. Others get defensive and swear they'd never do that having never been there. Then it happens. And you … [Read more...]
