2014 First Day Of School {3rd & 8th Grade}

I can’t believe it is September! I feel like summer just started but instead it’s ending. I’m sitting here thinking of all the things I said would be done by now and all the things I want to get done this fall. It just seems like the seasons go faster and faster and time just never sits still anymore.

It’s another school year starting today here and my boys have grown so much! Johnny is the first one out the door since he goes to the regional high school. He’s heading into 8th grade and just made the school’s JV soccer team!

Gavin was next and he is so excited about being a big 3rd grader! This year he gets to go upstairs! Only 3rd & 4th graders get to go up there so he is feeling like a big kid! This season he’s passing on soccer and starting up his swim lessons now.

Sawyer wasn’t thrilled about his big brothers not being home with him anymore.

Don’t feel bad for him though! He might have missed the preschool cut off by 2 months but this mama has lots of plans for him! Today he started a tumbling class and we have story time at the library not to mention a few other things I have up my sleeve I’ll be sharing with you shortly.

My daughter just went into first grade and my son went into third grade. They where so excited to get back into school with there friends and meet new teachers.

  4. My girls are back in school and are both loving it so far… this is the first year that they’ve been at the same place at the same time, which I’m loving!

  5. The picture of Sawyer waving to the bus is PRECIOUS. My oldest started pre-k this year, after spending the 4 years of her life at home with my everyday. Surprisingly, it has been a smooth transition for both of us!

  6. Awe I love that picture of him waving at the bus!! Took cool! Congrats to Johnny for making the soccer team!

  7. I love these pictures – the one of Sawyer waving bye is so cute! I bet he will love tumbling!

  8. LOVE first day of school photos. 🙂 Great shots!

  9. I love Fall and the feeling of new beginnings. No school around here anymore of course, but I still like Fall.

  10. Yes both of my boys went back to school a few days ago. My oldest started college. I am so ready for fall, I love the cooler weather.

  11. I wasn’t ready for school to start! I love having the kids home all summer with me (even when I complain about it). I know that they’re having a great time back at school with their friends & learning so much!

  12. I hear you on that one, because I have been thinking the same thing lately. These days, months, and years are quickly flying by!

  13. My kids started 1st and 5th grade this year. It’s bittersweet.

  14. I had hoped back-to-school would mean more time for me to get things done but it almost feels more hectic. Your boys are so handsome!

  15. Such handsome boys. Looks like they are off to a great start at the beginning of the school year. It is so funny to see how tall your 8th grader is, because mine is so small in comparison. I am hoping he will shoot up soon.

  16. Your boys look very handsome. My son just started kindergarten. I’m not sure I was ready for that, but I am ready for fall.

  17. My son just started 8th grade this past week. I think I am ready for Fall weather, only because it has been so warm here this month in PA. We had such a cool summer (which by the way I didn’t mind) but its hotter now then it was all summer long. .

  20. My three girls are back in school but I’m homeschooling my son. I totally agree with you. It seems the seasons are going by faster and faster!

  21. Your sons are adorable! Time is definitely flying by getting faster and faster each year. But so ready for fall!!!
