UMI Shoes – Machine Washable UMISport Sneakers {Review & Giveaway}

2,033 views

We first started using Umi Shoes last summer. It was in the fall though that Gavin found a pair of shoes that were going to be a permanent part of his wardrobe and lead us into months of arguments. He loved his Reeve boots and wore them everywhere. No matter if they went with the outfit or not. At first we thought it was a matter of convenience. His $100 sneakers had laces and maybe it was a result of being lazy so we traded them in for a pair of $20 cheapies from a local supercenter. Nope, he wouldn’t wear those either. We were ready to just give up.

Then I saw UmiSport Sneakers from Umi. They were the same makers of the boots he was refusing to take off. There weren’t laces but didn’t look they belonged on preschoolers. I was a bit nervous taking the leap but decided to give the Connor UmiSport Sneakers a try.

Kick, punt, flip, whatever…the big boy Connor keeps up with any backyard sport with its lightweight construction and flexible fit. Removable, machine washable anti-bacterial footbed has Umi kids playing with clean, dry feet. Play, wash, repeat!

If you follow me a facebook you’ll know that Gavin has been wearing the Connor Sneakers since they arrived! I hadn’t realized how many people realized what an issue it was that Gavin wasn’t wearing sneakers until he was. Gavin says the reason he’ll wear these shoes is because they are “easy and comfy” and I guess the others weren’t both. I wanted to show you what they look like when pants fall over them. They look great and the colors blend well with the colors that are common in his regular wardrobe.

I know these shoes should last us until the end of the school year which is great. Even after daily abuse from my five year old the shoes are in great condition. I know that Umi shoes are built to last and that gives me confidence in buying them. I know my child will outgrow them far before they ruin them. Umi Shoes will definitely a part of our wardrobes in the future too! I love that they just came out with the UmiBaby line so even Sawyer will get to wear them too!
