One thing I believe is crucial right from the start is talking to your baby. With reading also being of importance to start as early as possible it’s key to pick books that stay simple and have bright colors. While a baby might not understand exactly what you are telling them, the sound of your voice means so much to your child. Why not read to them as a way to sooth them. As they grow they will enjoy reading a book with you.

Little One Books has a great selection of books, music, and video for children from birth up until age five. When it came time for me to make my choices it was definitely hard to narrow it down. They have so many of the must have’s that it is easy to fill your cart quickly. Don’t worry though as their prices are very affordable!

When making my choices it took me awhile. I loved the two book selection I made. I picked Farm Animals and My First Colors Board Book in board style. Both books were great first options for the new baby we’re expecting and I thought they’d be great choices for the boys to read to the baby. The size of these books make it so baby can easily hold them as they grow and flip through the pages themselves. I also picked out the CD Good Night. When my boys were little they loved falling asleep to music. I really liked that Little One Books made it easy to see just what each CD had on them. When you click on the CD cover and go to then to ‘About the music and song list’ you’ll get a playlist of all the songs with little excerpts for you to hear. I bought several CD’s for the boys that I ended up not liking so I loved the fact that I knew right away it would be perfect for baby.

Little One Books was amazingly affordable. I received all three which totaled $25.98! That’s a pretty awesome value!
