Wordless Wednesday! Garden Fun!

My gardens are all set except for two more things I am struggling to find.

Here is my Vegetable Garden.
It has Tomatoes, Summer Squash, Zucchini, Peas, and then it’s bordered with bush green beans.

This is my Herb Garden.
It has literally all the herbs- except curly parsley because I can’t find it so I’m seeding it. I am also seeding bush lettuce to border the front.

Of course Johnny’s is coming along nicely too!
(This is ALL him, I have enough on my hands)

Then I still have to take care of my bucket garden this coming weekend. This is where I do peppers and cucumbers πŸ™‚
As you can see I haven’t touched them since last year!

Good for you! I did one last year, but got too busy to do the upkeep. This year I have a small planter with herbs and then just flowers. Next year… let’s hope I find the time, that is!

What is in Johnny’s? My seed to plants are going as I had hoped but i think its just my own laziness mostly. Its finally warm enough to do peppers and tomatoes here..FINALLY.

    • Jennifer says

Johnny has peppers, tomatoes, (pole) green beans, gourds, and lunaria.

  3. Kathy says

Wow! They all look great. I planted a couple of plants this year in my mini-garden. Yours looks fantastic!

  4. Katie says

yours is doing a lot better than mine is!

  5. Looks great!! Your kids will love going out there and picking the veggies off the vines. Peas are so fun to pick!

  6. Looks like a great garden, We are going to have to many pumpkins & watermelons. My son went crazy with them. Carrots flopped.

    • Jennifer says

We flopped on carrots too lol. We don’t get enough sun for pumpkins and watermelon πŸ™

  7. What a busy little bee you are, but with help that is so good to see. Besides fresh vegetables are the best for you and taste better too. Thanks for hosting WW.

  8. It keeps telling me that I’ve already said that, and it’s a duplicate comment, but it’s not taking my first one. Hmmm It’s probably me doing something wrong again. Sorry. Have a good night. What a busy little bee you are, but with help that is so good to see. Besides fresh vegetables are the best for you and taste better too. Thanks for hosting WW.

  9. Lisa @ Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy says

wow that’s a lot of stuff. i didn’t know you could do cucumbers in buckets. I lOVE cucs

    • Jennifer says

I hate dealing with pinning stuff up. I just use the deck rails instead LOL. We don’t use the deck It’s old and needs to be replaced.

  10. Dee says

These are great! Since my parents live on MANY acres with several fields, I usually don’t do my own gardens, but this year I did a small one. I keep meaning to plant some herbs…but still haven’t…

  11. Abby Approved says

It looks great! We just planted ours this weekend too. Very excited!

  12. Kelly says

I’m so impressed at your gardening skills! I was overconfident last year and got very little in return – this year we’ve been starting out slowly and things have been much better. I can’t wait to see pics as your garden grows!

    • Jennifer says

I was the same way lol! My Veggie garden use to hold 3x the amount of plants it has now and it wasn’t any bigger. I learned the hard way they need their space.

  13. Mimi says

Oh my gosh, that’s awesome!! And Johnny is doing fantastic. I wish my boys had initiative like that!

  14. Sara@MommaFindings says

Great garden! I SO need to take a picture of my garden. Our tomatoes can rock the whole neighborhood, but our bell peppers are struggling. Overall the garden is going great, but the weeds like it too. How do you keep the weeds out?

    • Jennifer says

I rake it by hand constantly lol. I’ve never had much luck with bell peppers either πŸ™

  15. Alicia says

Your garden looks great! My garden has had a slow start with all the cold weather we have had. Hopefully it will catch up!

  16. Mrs. Cox says

Nicely done!! Everything I’d love to have a veggie garden. I’ve got a bunch of herbs growing in a planter though. Made sure to have plenty of flat leaf parsley, cilantro, and basil πŸ™‚

    • Jennifer says

Got those! Don’t forget to have some chives!

  17. Christine M says

Hmm I’m thinking I need to do bucket gardening =) we live on base so its more difficult to plant a garden plus you have to have the yard back the way it was when you first moved in. There is nothing like homegrown peppers and tomatoes =)

    • Jennifer says

My Dad lives on really rocky soil since he lives on a mountain side and uses those topsy turvey things for everything! They only recommend tomatoes but he does it all and has no problems!

  18. Your gardens look wonderful! Ours is really taking off with all the heat and rain we’ve been having, I love seeing what everyone else is growing! So col your son is tending his own plot!

  19. Stefany T says

It looks like you are both off to a good start!

  20. Jenny says

Great gardens! As you can see from my post today, I have too many deer to have a garden. Too many deer, bunnies, squirrels, chipmunks, everything!

    • Jennifer says

The trick is marigolds they hate the smell. I hate the look but got sick of animals eating everything. It really works!

  21. The garden is looking good!

  22. Very nice! I can’t wait to get my pics posted of mine this year. Last year I went overboard on tomatoes… this year I will be swimming in eggplant. I love the idea of swimming in eggplant.

  23. Good job and good for you! I wish I could grow stuff… LOL, I tend to kill plants.

  24. nice!! i started a garden this year and its already going crazy!! Have a bunch of veggies already yielding. So cool πŸ™‚

  25. Emilie @ Baby Loving Mama says

Very cool gardens but what I think is even cooler is Johnny’s full participation. That is just awesome!

  26. Looks like they’re well on their way… great job! The only garden I’ve ever had is a flower garden. I don’t think I could handle the upkeep of a veg. or herb garden also.

  27. I wouldn’t know the first thing about tending a garden, so I give my hats off to those who do. I loooove green beans fresh from the garden.

  28. Crystal C says

Looks great I was going to ask about the weeds as well. That is my downfall…My flower garden in the front finally is at the point of only needing to be weeded once every two months but my patch in the back is a MESS

  29. Aleks says

Looks awesome! Hope the veggies grow well.

  30. Rob says

WOW. You plant of ton of stuff. It is a lot of work but worth it once the veggies start to come up and you can eat them.

    Happy WW!

  31. I wish I had the knack for a veggie garden

  32. You’re going to have so much yummy produce and herbs. Looks like everything is growing nicely and look at all of the green there. So pretty!

  33. Sam says

Great garden, but you just reminded me that I need to work on mine and I was trying not to think about it, lol.

  34. What a beautiful garden! I want to have one next year. πŸ™‚

    • Jennifer says

Next year? What about this year?

      • Well, we’re renting right now and will probably be moving closer to my husband’s new job very soon so I’m not wanting to put all that effort out… hopefully next year we’ll be more settled in a place where I can garden. πŸ™‚

  35. Rhea says

I wish I had a great spot for a garden. I have some tomatoes and onions in pots that are doing well, but thats about it. I killed all my zucchini last year so I didn’t try them again. I have a brown thumb.

  36. We’re growing a lot this year too! It make me hungry thinking about all the stuff! I’m super excited about some of the herbs.

  37. WOW… amazing. I wish we had good soil here in central Florida to grow all that stuff.
I only have basil and parsley on my window sill and one more basil plant on my plant rack. But they are all doing wonderfully and I love using them in my cooking.

  38. Deborah says

Great Job! I love seeing more gardens growing!

  39. Marianna says

I am so impressed with all your gardening!

  40. I think it’s so great that your oldest is taking care of his own garden. Maybe my little ones will be able to do the same πŸ™‚

  41. won says

Big ole wow to Johnny! And to you for trusting in him and you enough to allow him to take this on independently. As a mom, I struggle a lot with not jumping in there.

It looks like he’s done a lot of work!

  42. The garden looks great!

  43. Erica G says

Your garden is coming along. It must be nice to have the help. BTW, I am so jealous of your lush green grass!
