How to Make Breadcrumbs

Not last Christmas but the Christmas before I just had to have the latest and greatest Cuisinart Food Processor. My most requested meal to make is my yummy Mac & Cheese Recipe and I was sick of the stale tasting breadcrumbs I was putting on my meal each time and wanted to be able to make my own.

I always make my breadcrumbs with Pepperidge Farms Bread. I usually buy the Country White but they were out so I bought the Soft Hearty White instead. It’s the only time you’ll be finding white bread in my house! Make sure the “S” blade is in your food processor.

Bread the pieces of bread up into pieces and fill to top.
Hit pulse until there are no longer any large pieces and all you are left with is crumbs.
Take what you need for your recipe.
I will take the rest of the loaf and make breadcrumbs with it all. I place it into a freezer bag and they will be good for up to 3 months. I write the date I made them directly on the bag so I don’t forget how old they are.
I mean seriously look at this golden goodness!
Let me know what store bought breadcrumbs look this yummy!
Does it get any better then this?
I’ll generally make my homemade Chicken Parmesan recipe the same week which uses them up. Easy isn’t it!
