Talkative Tuesday – Getting my house in order

Do you ever feel like no matter what you do you just can’t get everything accomplished? Lately I feel like I am being pulled in so many directions. Over our vacation when we got back from Disney Hubby finally put shelves into my pantry!!! Before this it was just a huge pile of junk along the floor that was anything but impossible. I wish I took a pic of it to show you literally how bad it was. All my mini appliances like my food possessor, waffle maker, crock pot, etc. were just piled on top of each other with junk all around it. When the house burnt down and I got to help design our kitchen there were a few custom things hubby had to do to it to get it “functional”. I have 3 large corner cabinets but didn’t want lazy susans in all of them since I have so many pots and pans. He told me he would build shelves inside them so I never put the lazy susan’s into 2 of them. SO all in all I was lacking a LOT of space that contributed a lot to lack of organizing and in return a mess. I still don’t have shelves in my cabinets corners but I do finally have them in my pantry and its wonderful! Now I want to reorganize a bunch of my upper cabinets to better fit my cooking habits.
Hopefully I can get him back on a roll b/c he actually got quite a few things done that week like grout the tub and take the fan pieces of my oldest’s ceiling fan. He has a bunk bed and one of my fears is Gavin would accidentally go in and turn it on without Johnny knowing!
My next goal is to get the down stairs painted! We were so eager once the town approved our occupancy licence on the house after the fire that we skipped some major steps. LOL! Now hubby has been hooked on the outside for the last year and he has a hard time working on the inside!
I completely need to go threw the the kids closets. They have close from last year that don’t come close to fitting them just hogging space in there. I do a consignment sale every fall and spring and spent the 48 hours before hand rushing around grabbing and tagging what I can. I called Old Navy and had them start putting kid hangers aside so I can go pick them up in a couple of weeks! YAY! If you ever are in need of hangers Old Navy is great! We donate a percentage of the proceeds from the consignment to a children’s homeless program and they are awesome about getting us hangers for it. Do you know that they throw away ALL their hangers? Crazy since they have the best infant hangers!
My craft/computer room. Where do I start! Yikes! Have you ever watched the show clean house? This room would let us qualify for the show. Granted it is the only room in our house like this but I do have to step in and take FULL responsibility for it. It often has all my blogging product and the boxes and packaging quickly build up and hubby gives me a hard time about getting rid of it all (and I hate breaking it down) so I hide it in there. I NEED to get this cleaned up before summer is over!
So those are my most wanted to get done thing by September first. Do you have any projects that you have been hoping to accomplish but just can’t seem to get too?
