TriDerma MD – Psoriasis Control for Face, Scalp, and Body! Review and Giveaway! {CLOSED}

As most of my daily readers know I suffer from severe psoriasis. If you don’t know what that is Here is the textbook description:

What is Psoriasis

“Psoriasis is a lifelong condition affecting the skin or joints. The exact cause is unknown, but it tends to run in families. It is believed to be an autoimmune disease; that is, a person’s immune system becomes overly aggressive.

Several subtypes of psoriasis exist, but all types cause distinct red crusty patches on the skin. Normally, new skin cells are produced deep in the epidermis. As the new cells mature, they migrate to the surface where they die and are sloughed off. The process takes 30 days. In people with psoriasis, however, this cycle is accelerated and new skin cells are produced and mature every 3 to 4 days. The excess dead cells fail to slough off and instead create scaly lesions. Psoriasis may affect the joints after the skin. This is called psoriatic arthritis and typically occurs in finger and toe joints first.

Diagnosis

Psoriasis diagnosis is difficult, especially in the early stages. In early, mild cases, symptoms such as rash and dandruff are easily overlooked or misinterpreted as an infection or allergic reaction. No definitive blood or lab test exists to diagnose psoriasis. Diagnosis is made by examining the characteristic skin lesions and fingernails. Fingernail pitting is a distinct early sign of psoriasis. The diagnosis is confirmed by viewing a sample of the skin lesions under a microscope. Psoriatic cells are thick, red and flaky. Psoriatic arthritis typically begins in fingers and toes, but may occur in other joints in no particular pattern. Psoriatic arthritis cannot be diagnosed by a blood test, but a blood test will identify rheumatoid arthritis and distinguish between the psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis.

Treatment

There is no cure for psoriasis.”

I have suffered from psoriasis since I was 14 years old. It started on my elbows as small spots. Within a year I was diagnosed with severe psoriasis that covered my body from the top of my scalp down to my feet. It was embarrassing and often made me very self conscious. I was lucky enough in my life to have already made great friends in school and my boyfriend at the time is now my husband so I was never teased or picked on for it. However, only 2% of people in the world have psoriasis to my severity is what I’ve been told. It is usually hereditary. My grandfather has a mild case of it, I wasn’t so lucky. So far my children show no signs of it and I pray to god they never will.
Although I was never teased as a child where you think it would be most likely to happen I suffer with people judging me more from it as an adult. My hands are the worst and are completely covered. They are red in color with white scales from my knuckles to my wrists. When I pay for things people often refuse to hand my change back to me and place it down obviously in front of me. Once when I was waitressing I actually had a customer refuse to let me wait on her causing a scene telling the entire restaurant I was a freak and I shouldn’t be allowed to serve food.
While there will always be people in life to kick you down you will also always have the people to pick you up and defend you like the restaurant manager who asked that same woman to leave after making that scene.

So I guess while I sidetrack off this review I just want to state that when your Mama told you not to stare because its rude, Its true. Plus, don’t always assume, it could be an incurable disease that someone can’t help with.

Anywho…..I was ecstatic when The Lane Communications Group contacted me to try out their TriDerma MD Psoriasis Control. While I have to admit it wasn’t a completely fair review because my dishwasher broke several weeks ago and I have been washing dishes by hand causing my hands to constantly crack and bleed, AND I do have an extremely severe case on my hands. It did however remove the white scaling and provide relief from the pain when it was really bag. I still have some left and it goes every where with me.
I, personally, feel that if you or someone you knew had a mild case of psoriasis this could possibly clear it up all together.

I’m entering for my friend. Her psoriasis story is similar, no inkling or flare ups until she was 13, and has had people stare and question her rudely as well. Hopefully this will help her out!

Wow, thank you for educating me on psoriasis. You did a better job than my Dad’s MD. My dad is in his mid fifties and he started showing signs of psoriasis in his late forties. He never tells anyone about any ailment till it is pretty severe and I remember grabbing the phone and calling the emergency advice nurse because he kept scratching and saying it was just a rash. The diagnosis came soon after. This disease is just awful and unbearable at times. Being the man that he is- he never buys the right products. I have him stocked up on T-Sal Shampoo and other related products but this would be a great if it really works. Anything to help my dad feel relief! Thanks for sharing your story I feel I need to learn about this condition because it affects someone I care about dearly.

    God Bless.

I can feel for you, as I have seen this condition on my aunt ( who is closet thing to a mom to me, since mine has passed on) She has had it as long as I can remember. She is constantly trying every lotion she can find… using rubber gloves , she has never owned a dishwasher, and is a clean-a-holic which aggravates it.I have seen it on her face & she keeps herself covered up, so you wouldn't know where else it is. I get it mildly on my scalp, neck & occ. my face, nothing like my aunt. My hubby also gets it in the creases of his arms & on his legs & unmentionable area… ahumm…
I truely hope this helps you & many other sufferers out there.

thanks for getting the word out on this product!

I would really love to win this for my partner. Of the past 12 years that we’ve been together, she has suffered from psoriasis for the last 10. It is so frustrating for her. Up to this point, the only thing that really clears it up is Enbrel. Since this prescription is an injection (not a topical cream), it has all sorts of nasty and potentially dangerous side effects. At this time, she is not taking anything for her psoriasis. I would be thrilled if TriDerma works for her!
    Thanks!

OMG, am I so glad I landed on this post. Thanks. I’d like to win the cream for my daughter. She’s 21 and can you imagine what psoriasis’s doin to her life? She has it on both her hands.
Worse, psoriasis is starting to show on my son’s face (almost 3 weeks now), too! It’s mild and the cream could possibly clear it up all together, you said! Oh, how I hope that’s true. The sufferings need to be ended.
I want my children to enjoy and love life like other happy kids.

So I go to the doctor because I psoriasis… My doctor said, “Wow! Did you have a face lift?” No kidding the doctor could see the difference in my skin. I was using the Made from Earth Rooibos Tea Day Moisturizer. I am so thankful for finding this moisturizer for my psoriasis. The moisturizer has cleared up the dry, red, irritated skin around my eyebrows, cheeks and chin that I have struggled with for decades.
It is a new product. The jar lasts about 2-3 months of daily use.
