How does this EarCheck work?So simple! You just have your child sit or stand still and in the upright position.
Next, Hold the back of the ear up (that will straighten the curve the ear canal naturally makes). While holding the ear back insert the EarCheck into the canal pointing the tip of the EarCheck down the opening. While still holding the ear; push the SCAN button and the EarCheck will make a soft chirping sound. The lights will then start to lights up and once you hear a longer tone letting you know its done you can then remove the EarCheck and let go of the child ear. Now you can see the results of the EarCheck. The possible readings are: Fluid unlikely, Monitor, and 3 levels of Consult Doctor.

We had the opportunity of trying this awesome new gadget out! I was thrilled when it arrived in the mail. Once I took it out of the package I immediately went jumping through our family from ear to ear. Hubby was the only one who needed to keep an eye on both his ears (he is known for bad ears, and it has not been thoroughly tested on adults at this time). G had one to watch….This is such a great product I love being able to keep a close eye on things concerning their ears.
When J was little he had so many ear infections and double infections that before he even turned a year old he had to be put under for tubes.
A few years later we realized he wasn’t hearing us the greatest on one side. We had to bring him to the local Children’s School for the Deaf for testing. It turned out that all those ear infections he had as a baby and toddler resulted in him having minor hearing loss in his left ear. If you speak to anyone who specializes in this field they will tell you just because it’s called “minor” does not mean its minor!

This is such a fantastic idea!!! I hate to say it, but with our finances the way they are, I always take the wait and see approach before going to the drs. I wind up feeling so bad when my daughter wakes up crying with a fever and what turns out to be a ear infection. This would allow me to monitor her and make my decision based on the reading. I have a one year old little girl and in january she was admitted to the hospital for 3 days because of bronchilitis and yup you guessed it. she also had an ear infection- IN BOTH ears. ever since then every time she rubs her ear i get so paranoid and it worries me to death that she has an ear infection. this would be wonderful to ease my mind and save a trip from the doctors.

My hubby is military, we have only 1 vehicle that he uses during the day and I homeschool so getting to the hospital is not so easy. The main reason is that my oldest has a congenital defect and some immune issues and this would be excellent for those times when he starts looking a lil ify and I need something fast. We don’t make lots of money so once again, this would be better than great. Whew, done.

Then he had two nasty ones within months of each other… This monitor would be so nice to check and see if there might be one starting or if there is already one… Before I would have to guess and then make the appointment and pull him out of school.. Hmmm well my daughter who is 4 was a ridiculously easy kid and always healthy, no problems at all… but the boy, he’s 8 months old and he’s already had an ear infection so now I’m a bit paranoid!!

My pediatrician actually uses it and says its very accurate and can save us a trip to his office- sounds awefully convenient to me
